7/12/2005 - Super Diamond To Perform Hot August Night
Neil Diamond's 1972 album "Hot August Night", recorded live at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, is without a doubt Neil's most popular work. It's also, in a way, our Bible in the world of Super Diamond. Every August Super Diamond performs songs only from "Hot August Night" and "Hot August Night 2". The San Francisco Bimbo's shows on August 6 & 7 will feature a 6 piece string section.

7/6/2004 - Super Diamond at the Hollywood Bowl
Super Diamond is back after playing to a crowd of 17,000+ last night at the newly renovated Hollywood Bowl in LA. Venues don't get any better than this! We'll be posting photos from the night soon.

5/16/2004 - Mailing List Malfunction
We'd like to apologize to everyone who has signed up for our mailing list in the past. You've probably noticed you haven't received any updates in several months. This is because our email list has mysteriously disappeared off of our server. We have no idea how it happened (well, we have an idea but don't want to slander anyone)...but it vanished around the start of 2006! So please sign up again. We're going back to a more old-fashioned sign up until we get this thing figured out, so go here to get on the list!

4/26/2003 -Super Diamond on CNN
Super Diamond will appear live on the CNNfn television program "The Biz" on Friday, May 7th. "The Biz" airs from 12:30pm -1:00pm EST. For more info check local listings, or go to the CNNfn website.

2/16/2003 - Thank You San Francisco & Caroline Rhea

The new Super Diamond cd, recorded live @ Bimbo's in SF, is finally finished. It's available for purchase at shows and on SuperDiamond.com.

All of you Southern California fans are in for a treat! Hadley Hockensmith, Neil Diamond's guitar player since 1986, will be taking the stage with Super Diamond at the Anaheim House Of Blues show tonight!

5/18/2003 - SuperDiamond.com
The all-new SuperDiamond.com is finally up & running. The new site has lots of cool new features-- be sure to check out the streaming video clips and audio samples. You can also now buy Super Diamond merchandise online using MasterCard or Visa. It shouldn't be too much longer before the live cd is finished and available on the "Stuff" page.

10/26/2002 - Super Diamond in NYC
Super Diamond has just returned from playing three great nights at Irving Plaza in NYC. Saturday night's show was especially exciting because the cast from NBC TV's "Ed" was at the show to celebrate star Tom Cavanaugh's birthday. Tom joined the band on stage for "Sweet Caroline" (he even wore one of Matt Diamond's shirts), and was kind enough to take some photos with us after the show. Also joining Super Diamond this weekend was San Francisco legend Corey McAbee of the Billy Nayer Show. He performed a couple of songs at the end of the TijuanaStripClub set (Surreal Neil's original band was opening). For more info on Corey and The Billy Nayer Show, check out their Website.

10/23/2002 - Super Diamond Plays World Series Party
Super Diamond was able to experience some of the excitement of the 2002 World Series by playing a party for Major League Baseball after Game 4 in San Francisco. Unfortunately, our Giants didn't win the series; but it was still a great party!

8/18/2002 - Super Diamond To Perform Hot August Night
Neil Diamond's 1972 album "Hot August Night", recorded live at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, is without a doubt Neil's most popular work. It's also, in a way, our Bible in the world of Super Diamond. Every August Super Diamond performs songs only from "Hot August Night" and "Hot August Night 2". The San Francisco Bimbo's shows on August 30 & 31 will feature a string quartet and horn section. The third night - Sept. 1st - will not be a "Hot August Night" set only, but will feature strings and horns.

6/25/2001 - VH1 Behind The Music on Neil Diamond
Finally, a music special on Neil Diamond!
Airing July 22nd, VH1 is making a "Behind the Music" on Neil Diamond.
VH1 came to Super Diamond's Friday Night show at the Belly Up in San Diego to interview Surreal Neil, film the show, and talk to the fans.

6/25/2001 - Super Diamond To Perform Hot August Night
Neil Diamond's 1972 album "Hot August Night", recorded live at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, is without a doubt Neil's most popular work. It's also, in a way, our Bible in the world of Super Diamond. Every August Super Diamond performs songs only from "Hot August Night" and "Hot August Night 2". The San Francisco Bimbo's shows on August 24 & 25 will feature a string quartet and horn section.

2/7/2001 - Super Diamond Plays "Saving Silverman" Premiere
Super Diamond officially went "Hollywood" on Feb. 7 when they played the premiere party for the movie "Saving Silverman", starring Jason Biggs, Steve Zahn, Jack Black, and Amanda Peet with a cameo by Neil Diamond himself. After attending the world premiere of the movie at the Westwood Village Theater, the band played a set at the after-party held at the House Of Blues, Hollywood.

Neil Diamond joined Super Diamond onstage, singing both "Cherry, Cherry" and "Forever In Blue Jeans". He was "helped out" by Jack Black, Steve Zahn and Jason Biggs, and by the end of "Forever In Blue Jeans", the entire cast was onstage. It was an amazing night!

12/16/2000 - Neil Diamond meets S.D. at the House of Blues
It really happened! Neil Diamond came to see Super Diamond at the House of Blues Hollywood on Saturday Dec. 16, 2000. He came backstage to meet the band, then sat with friends and family to watch the show. Neil was very gracious and very cool! If that wasn't enough, Neil came on stage to sing none other than "I Am, I Said.." Super Diamond-style. The audience reaction was ear piercing! What a moment! Thank you Neil, and thank you everyone who was there for that once-in-a-lifetime event.

Fans who were there at the 3rd show on Sunday night were treated to a walk-up performance by Saturday Night Live veteran Rob Schneider. Rob did his amazing Elvis impersonation of "Blue Christmas" at the end of "Song Sung Blue" Thank you Rob!
