Just spent my 35th birthday at your recent concert here in
San Diego with about 12 friends. Couldnt think of a
better place to be. Ive been coming to see you guys
for almost 10 years now and it never disappoints. Your concerts,
especially your rocking renditions of Crunchy Granola Suite
and Brother Loves Traveling Salvation show take me back
to my childhood and the 7 hour drives up to Mammoth in my
parents Ford Econoline van where we would listen the 8 track
of Hot August Night over and over. Great work and thanks for
all the good times. Hopefully my 40th, 45th etc will be as
memorable.

Hey Guys,
I just caught your show at Bimbo\'s in San Francisco and it
was awesome .... again. This is now the 3rd city I have seen
you in- Irving Plaza in NYC and the Paradise in Boston 2 weeks
ago-- and I have to say.. you didn\'t disappoint the hometown
fans. Thanks for making all us \"closet\" Neil fans
stand up and shout to the world.. We
Love Neil Diamond.. No matter what our age!
See
you on the road again soon.

Im totally looking forward to your March show in Cleveland.
I saw you when you were at the HOB right after it opened here,
and Id have to say it was some of the best spent money
on a concert, EVAH! This time Im bringing my parents,
brother, and sister-in-law. Neil Diamond was the only concert
my dad has ever seen, and it was the only time I ever went
to a concert with them. Now we can relive the magic that is
Neil. Im counting down the days

...I
just had my first fix of Superdiamond. I am the most devoted
Neil Diamond fan I know of and when someone recently told
about Superdiamond; of course I was skeptical.
I was "blown away". If you closed your eyes, you
really thought Neil was there standing on stage. The lead
singer of Super Diamond has Neil's voice down. I was also
very surprised at the number of 20 and 30 somethings that
like Neil's music. I had a wonderful time. Didn't know I
could stay away till 2 in the morning. Been a long long
time. I look forward to you returning to the Washington,
D.C. area real soon!!!
Thanks
for a wonderful time.
I know they were hot under those costumes.

I normally do not email bands but this is a must.
I
first heard you at the Belly UP in San Diego in 1996 and have
been a fan ever since. I cant count the number of times
I have seen yall play, including New Years Eve
in San Francisco. I moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2001 and have
consistently complained about how much I missed the live music
scene in So. Cal. By chance I checked out your website and
learned the band is going to be in Fort Lauderdale next month.
Finally, a guaranteed good night of live music!
Looking forward to the show once again and bringing my friends
who have heard me talk about Super Diamond.

Super Diamond will forever be ingrained in my life.
Quick
story...three years ago last month I met what would turn out
to be my future husband while waiting in line to see your
show at the Cannibal Bar in Mission Beach. Our answer to the
universal question of "how did you two
meet?" always began the same, "Well, we met at a
Super Diamond concert...a rockin' Neil Diamond tribute band."
Just wanted you to know that we were married last Sunday;
Leap Day no less!!; and as a wedding gift, we received two
tickets to see your show tonight at the Belly Up. We'll be
out there singing along with all the other fans so, if you
get this email before tonight's show....send some love to
Jon and Natalie!
Thanks,
Natalie

Super D!
I am your Number one fan! I\'ve been to many of your shows
in SF and even got kicked
off stage a few times when I couldn\'t resist the urge to
jump up and rock with you! I can't tell you how much you guys
mean to me, you spark something inside I didn't know I had!
Anyway, I moved to NY recently and am disappointed by the
frequency of shows on this coast. My best friend is getting
married in March and we would LOVE to attend a show for her
bachelorette party. Would you please consider having a show
in late Febuary or early March in NYC??? We would bring 50
screaming women and have a guaranteed good time!
Hope you are well!
Love,
Your Number ONE Fan!

Neil has GOT to be proud of the work you are doing. You certainly
bring out the best in his music. Saw you guys at the Alameda
County Fair two weeks after major surgery, but NOTHING could
stop me! We also just saw you at Bimbos 365 in SF. WHAT A
SHOW! Hope to see you back there again REAL SOON. Keep doing
what you\'re doing. Your fan base grows DAILY.
Much
Love!
Hi Super Diamond
I saw your band last night and I have to tell you, I loved
it! My parents talk about the first time they saw Neil in
their highschool gym for $.75 a ticket, and you guys made
me see what they saw 30 years ago. I am a huge Neil Diamond
fan, and now I am a huge Super Diamond fan. Keep doing what
you are doing, you were awesome!!!!

Hi there. My name is Mike Capalbo and I am from the Chicago
Suburbs of Illinois. I am just writing this to let you know
that I believe you are the greatest Neil Diamond tribute band
ever!!!! I have come to every one of your shows that you played
at the House of Blues in Chicago and thoroughly enjoyed each
one! I'm a huge Neil Diamond fan and have been one for the
past 17 years. I am now 27 years old. I just wanted to express
my gratitude, and am looking forward to seeing
more shows!!! And speaking of your next show in Chicago it
is on December 11 and is a private showing. Any chance of
getting tickets for this private show?? Thank you very much!!
Gratefully-

Hey boys,
Well its getting close to another Super Diamond weekend
in Sacramento and I am so excited! I think I am your biggest
recruiter -I tell everyone about you guys. I have seen you
over ten times now and I swear each time is phenomenal!!
I love you guys. Something about growing up in the 70's
and my parents listening to Neil Diamond, has mad me appreciate
and love what you are doing for our generation. Keep it
up and I will follow.
Love,
Cindy
Just
saw your show at the House of Blues-Anaheim and it was great.
We love Neil Diamond and you keep his songs alive!!

My
friend raved about Super Diamond forever..so I got tickets
this time when they came to town..The guy I'm dating just
would not budge and go to this show.. he just did not want
to go..so I went with my girlfriends..and WOW! I'm in love
again with Neil Diamond..Surreal Neil asked the audience how
many people were held hostage in the back seat of your mother's
car listening to Neil Diamond over and over again on the 8
track player..and GOD yes that was me....I learned to love
Neil Diamond..He said I want all of you who have cell phones
to call your mother's right now..and I did..it was 12:30am
and my mother was dead asleep so I filled up her voice mail
at work..singing at the top of my lungs to Sweet Caroline...and
others..when my mom got to work the next day she shared my
voice mail with every customer who would listen..and now I
have a bunch of 60-year-old women who want to go to the next
show..I myself could not come down off of cloud nine I was
hyper for many hours after the show..way to go
SUPER DIAMOND...

As
a Seattle resident, I stayed an extra night in San Francisco
since a friend encouraged me to stay to see Super Diamond.
I must say that I was hesitant going into the show. With a
band called Tom Jonesing opening, I was prepared for a night
of schlock and campiness. However, I was pleasantly surprised
-- the show was fantastic and extremely professional. Bimbo's
was rocking with Super Diamond through two sets of great material.
Definitely a great evening of entertainment from a band who
genuinely seems to enjoy what they're doing. I'd say the extra
night in San Francisco was a night well-spent!
Enjoyed
meeting Vince and Mike after the show and learned that the
band will be at the Showbox in Seattle in April. I'm already
looking forward to sharing your show with some of my friends.
Seattle won't know what hit it!
Regards,
Eric
I
LOVE super D! You guys rock...it's fun to see you when you
come to Seattle. It's always a good time for my buddies and
me to go out and get trashed listening to you!! Thanks!
Jamie
Super Diamond,
I
have to say, I was a little reluctant when a bunch of my
friends said that we were going to see your show. Sure,
I like Neil Diamond's music, but I was never a HUGE fan.
On top of that, my 20-year-old sister was coming to New
York to visit me from Florida and she's more punk than anything
else. Well, I bought tickets to the show on Friday the 9th
at Irving Plaza and I was BLOWN AWAY! You guys ROCK! It
was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Not only did
my friends and I have a great time, my sister couldn't believe
how amazing it was.
Keep
on rockin'! You now have two new fans in my sister and me.
Jon
Dear Guys:
I
waited, begged, pleaded and paid for a scalped ticket for
the Saturday 2-10-01 show at Irving Plaza and it was great.
All the effort you guys put into to the show is worth it.
Keep up the good work
Forever in Blue Jeans,

Recently took about 20 of my friends
to the Super Diamond performance back in January at the
Royal Music Theater, in Royal Oak, Michigan. Even the
most hard-to-entertain friends had a phenomenal time.
No one left early, which at the age of 30 seems to be
almost a miracle to have happen anymore. Enough ass-kissing,
I'm sure you guys get enough of that as it is. Just letting
you know there are people in Royal Oak eagerly awaiting
your return. Next time I'm sure that 20 friends will easily
turn into a 100.
Just saw your show for the first time
at HOB on friday, and I have to say, it surpassed my expectations.
A friend of mine who used to tease me about liking Neil
Diamond caught your show in San Diego and is now a Neil
Diamond fan. You guys transformed him. He raved to me about
the show and I was more than willing to check it out. I
am so glad I did. WOW. You were right on. It was incredible.
Of course now I'm the one who's raving to all my friends.
Thank you, and I will be back.
The
best way I can describe it is that I felt like a child looking
out the eyes of my 29 year old body. It was so nostalgic for
me, having grown up with my parents loving Neil Diamond.
thanks
again.
Ronda
Surreal Neil,
Thank
you, thank you , thank you!! You played "song sung
blue"! That was great! I loved the concert sooo much!
There were so many diverse people there from every age,
style, race, etc... and they were all enjoying themselves
so much! It touched me to see on one side of me a sixty-year-old
woman soulfully mouthing the word hallelujah with you, and
on the other the joy of a petite Chinese woman beside me
-- nothing short of wonderfully infectious.
Many
thanks,
Cam
A Super Diamond Experience
On April 1, 2000 I didn't have anything to do on a Saturday
night in New York City. What was my problem? I had to get
out of my apartment; so I scoured the Voice for an "Alternate
Plan B." Inexplicably, my eyes kept returning to the
advertisement for Super Diamond at Irving Plaza.
A Neil Diamond cover band? Sure, after years of counseling,
I could finally admit to my friends that I like Neil Diamond
(okay, I love Neil Diamond) but how pathetic would it be to
resort to a band that played only Neil tunes?
In my head, I imagined me - Manhattan in one hand, cigarette
in the other - standing in a deserted Irving Plaza, scoping-out
one of the three 70-year-old silver foxes, while some heavily
chest-haired loser in sequins sang watered down elevator music.
Was I there, or what?! I sprinted out of my apartment to grab
a train to Union Square.
As I approached the theater, I snickered at the scalper who
asked, "Hey buddy, you got an extra?" Yeah, you'd
better call security for all of the profit you'll be making
tonight, fella. I stepped to the ticket window and asked for
one. The young girl didn't even look up as she pointed to
a sign on the glass that read, "Super Diamond - Sold
Out!!!"
"You've
gotta be kidding! Wait a minute today IS April Fool's Day,"
I thought, as I stepped back onto the sidewalk.
"Now, where'd that scalper go?"
Suddenly, as if sent directly from the traveling salvation
show, my buddy, RJT, appeared at my side. "What are you
doing here, Abe?" he asked, sheepishly (he was a Super
Diamond Virgin, as well). We stood there a moment and laughed
at the fact his friend insisted that he would have the time
of his life at this show, and we couldn't believe the amount
of fans that were flowing through the entrance. When his friend
arrived, he worked some magic to get me inside (fortunately,
he's a concert promoter), and we rushed upstairs to witness
the start of the act.
The room was bursting at the seams with people who were already
having a blast, and I marveled at how happy they all seemed
to be! As the lights went out, and a deafening roar arose
from the crowd, "The Surreal Neil" and his cohorts
promised to "kick" our "asses" that night.
Our "asses?" What would Neil think? But they did
they DID kick our asses; and they gave me one of the best
times I've had in my life.
They brought a harder, more modern, edge to Neil Diamond's
already brilliant songwriting, and breathed new life into
them. The young crowd (the majority of which overheard their
first Diamond tunes when their parents decided to go crazy
and kick out the jams on their record players) seemed to know
every word of every song. A strange kinship seemed to float
through the atmosphere, as complete strangers would grab each
other and sing to each other as if to say, "You know
what? I like Neil Diamond, too!"
After the show was finished, it took hours to wipe that crazy
smile off of my mug. My friends and I went for more drinks,
and we knew we could never explain that show to anybody because
they just couldn't understand.
But, Friday and Saturday, you have the opportunity to discover
the enigma for yourself as Super Diamond makes its triumphant
return to Irving Plaza.
Whether you are a Neil Diamond fan, or not, you will have
a good time. You have to see it to believe it. And although
there is the small fear, in the back of my mind, that I merely
witnessed the strange power of some paranormal April Fool's
joke, I'm willing to put my money on the table and bet for
Diamonds.
Abe
I
must admit....I am a horrible dancer and you wouldn't catch
me dead on the dance floor but both times I saw your show
in LA and SF I was cuttin' a mean rug all night long. So all
you non-dancin guys out there....believe me when I tell you
this-go see this show....it's amazing....and just think how
happy you'll make your girlfriends / wives by actually dancing
with them all night....it will knock their socks off.
Keep
rockin' guys,
Chad
I
saw you last September at Bill's Bar in Boston, MA. It was
the first time and you guys rocked!!! I just loved it. I didn't
get to see you at Axis this last time a couple of weeks ago,
and I regret that. But, the next time you come east, I'll
be there!!! Thanks for doing what you do. You're terrific!
Patti
Hey
I caught you guys in Denver Colorado at the Ogden. Great show.
It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! Keep up
the good work and I hope to see you guys again.
Chris
Hi
guys,
My name is Julie. My roommate and I just happened to be
San Francisco last weekend. We met a group of guys on Friday
evening who said we should try and get tix to this group
that was playing at Bimbo's on Saturday night. We're big
Neil Diamond fans so needless to say we stood in the rain
on Saturday night and it paid off because we scored tickets
to your show. I just wanted to say that you all were extraordinary!
I was in awe of the show and of the fans that were there
to see you.
My
roommate and I discovered that you were in Anaheim tonight
and we checked on tickets to see you again. Not to my surprise,
the show is sold out. If you have inside information on how
to get tickets please send me a note back.
Cheers,
Julz
I
took my mom, dad, sister, her husband, my other sister, her
boyfriend, and my fiance to see your show last night at Anaheim
HOB. Everyone loved it! That's the third time I've seen you
(Hollywood HOB about 2 yrs ago and Palace Station in Vegas)
and you guys keep getting better and better! I especially
loved the way you ended songs by mixing in some rock classics.
My favorite ending was with Rush's "YYZ" (I think
you guys used it). Anyways, thanks for the good times and
we look forward to seeing you again. Come back to L.A. soon!
Best
wishes for continued success!
Steve
Holy Shit!
I
just came back from your show in San Diego @ the Cannibal
Bar. WOW. Nice job. I was dragged there kicking and screaming
and I was kicking and screaming when they tried to get me
out of there! Nice job.
Fred
I never knew that there were as many closet Neil fans until
I went to your show. By far one of the top shows I've ever
been to.
Ben
Denver, CO
What
can I say you don't already know?! You're awesome! I had a
total blast last night. The highlight was getting to meet
you guys! Thanks for letting an ol' mom of 5 remember what
it feels like to let loose and have a good time! (wink wink!)
I'm always jetting off to San Diego and/or Seattle so maybe
I'll see you there. I'll guarantee you, if you're playing,
I'm there! Thanks again!
Nan
Dear
Super Diamond,
I
accidentally happened upon you at the Fox Theater in Boulder
a few years back while innocently trying to attend Disco
Inferno. My life hasn't been the same since, to say the
least......
You
see, it all started the day after my senior prom when Traci
T. and I were vegging out on the couch, flipping through the
channels- then there He was, right there in Tracy's very living
room-NEIL DIAMOND!!! To this day I'm still not sure
whether we were in the closet then.
But
none of that really matters any more; I've since lost contact
with Tracy, albeit, not with my love for Neil- The Surreal
Neil that is. As I was saying, I caught your show at The Fox
and then again and again. When you got too big for your little
Boulder britches I faithfully followed you to The Ogden Theater
in Denver. Ah yes, I can see it now...
The
lights fade, the low steady note of the synthesizer hushes
the restless audience instantly, the fog machine cranks into
overtime. I can barely contain myself, for in a matter of
seconds I will be One with SUPER DIAMOND! And there ain't
nothin' cheesy about them apples.
But
alas, you'll be right here within fucking distance in Denver,
Colorado and I have been left out of your fun little party.
What gives man? I couldn't believe my eyes when your Web site
callously said, "An error has occurred, No tickets currently
available through Ticketweb." Just like that. No shit,
an error has occurred. And if not currently, THEN WHEN? So
I call the damned Ogden place and they try to feed me the
same nonsense. Now I know you guys rock this world, but why
not me? I want you guys to rock my little universe a little
bit more often than hardly ever. So I'm moving to San Francisco,
some day. In Conjunction with San Fran being the grandest
city this here "United" States has to offer, Super
Diamond resides. Super Diamond rocks. Super Diamond is.
Need
I say more? My boss would probably appreciate it if I didn't
and got back to work instead of writing psychotic fan (as
in fanatic) mail to you. So what I'm trying to get at is,
well, I'm not exactly certain. But you understand, right?
I'm just a little verclempt and am not able to think straight
given the horrific fact that you'll be playing in Denver tomorrow
night and I won't be joining you. Perhaps next time I'll be
a little more quick than the rest of those so called Diamondheads.
Sincerely
Yours,
Heather
Saw
you at the Catamaran last Saturday. It was my first time seeing
you. I've been to Neil's concert before and you guys definitely
ROCK! I loved you guys! I will be seeing you again, no doubt!
